A CLOSER LOOK
About this project
A gabled roof covers the elevated deck at this light-colored house. Black railings frame the open edges, while stairs and an intermediate landing lead toward the yard. The roof above the deck follows the shape of the front elevation, with vertical siding visible in the gable. Below, concrete connects the lower area to the stair approach. The second view adds another angle on the railing and the outside connection to the building. Together, the photographs show the height of the platform, the covered space beside the doors and the route between the house and the ground.

Looking through the photographs
The tall front view makes the covered space easy to distinguish from the ground-level approach. The gable follows the roof shape above, with vertical siding filling the triangular wall face. Below it, the deck railings and stair handrails create a continuous dark edge. The second photograph adds another angle on those connections. Compare the position of the doors, landing and concrete to understand the visible route between the house and the outdoor area.
